After studying Art History at University, I embarked on a career in Antiques. These decades continue to inform my work as I reference periods and artists from previous centuries, mixing classic themes with a quiet, modern, gestural quality. I almost always paint from life.
Although actively creative, it wasn’t until 2018 that I started oil painting in earnest. It continues to be the most compelling and absorbing endeavour, offering challenges and rewards in equal measure daily. My painting style is in evolution, a state that I welcome as it allows me lean into experimentation and skill.
I work from my loft studio in Dulwich, South East London.
